Annual Classics
Over the years CYANT promoted a number of races which became annual events and recognised classics. Results of some of the better known races are listed in the table below. See separate honours lists for the Annual Champion and International Ocean Races.
Annual Champion
Over the years CYANT promoted a number of races which became annual events and recognised classics - see Annual Classics. The Annual Champion awards for each year were determined by combined results of a series of these races. There are two series NORC (Northern Offshore Racing Circuit) and AOS (Arafura Offshore Series).
Darwin to Dili Race
The first international offshore ocean yacht race organised from Australia was the Darwin to Dili Race. At that time, Dili was the capital of Portuguese (East) Timor, a Portuguese colony. This race only took place for two years before political unrest interrupted the event. See History section.
Darwin to Ambon Race
The Darwin Ambon Race started in 1976 and continued on an annual basis until 1998. See History section. Results are shown below for Line Honours, Monohull Racing, Cruising, and Rally Divisions, and the Multihull Division.
